This work is central to the ARC's objective to
establish best practice in managing airport impact and in
identifying issues on which to collectively lobby European
institutions and national governments. The ARC
Secretariat
is provided by Gothenburg Region, Sweden. Its Brussels
Office monitors the development of relevant EU policy,
provides links to other networks and an information service.
It also acts as the lobbying arm of the ARC to the EU
institutions and other European organisations. The
Executive Committee is ARC's political
body. It consists of
6 political members and the Interest Group Chairmen and is
chaired by the ARC president. The Secretariat administers
the day to day business of ARC. The
Annual General Meeting, consisting of all the members, is
ARC's main decision making body. The
ARC organises a major conference every two years and several
seminars and professional meetings each year. |
