ARC members finalising Interreg application for a better quality of life in airport regions
ARC members engaged in the successful QLAIR project have now finalized an Intereg application to bring the findings one step further. Participating airports in the QLAIR-Capitalisation project will be Paris (Orly), Prague, Barcelona, Stockholm, Brussels, Helsinki and Warsaw.

ACI Europe 24 February: With the new European Commission having just taken office and the newly empowered European Parliament firmly established, European airport trade body ACI EUROPE yesterday launched its Policy Outlook for the years to come.

“Barcelona Agenda" approved to help coordination between local authorities and EU

ACI Traffic Forecast February 2010: Emerging markets move ahead while mature markets continue to struggle
Preliminary figures indicate that in 2009, year over year traffic declined by 2.6% where emerging markets, such as Brazil or China, surged ahead during the second half of the year but in parallel, the two largest aviation markets, Europe and North America, each declined by over 5% last year.

Industry on track to deliver green aircraft by 2020
EurActiv.com 18 February 2010: "Industry is on track to ensure "carbon-neutral growth" in the aviation sector from 2020, but strengthened European Union support for research and development (R&D) is vital to help manufacturers deliver the green technologies required", said François Gayet, secretary-general of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD).
