QLAIR - Quality of Life in Airport Regions

The QLAIR project is addressing the need  for new and innovative ways to improve the quality of life for the citizens most affected by airport activities and airport expansion. The project will identify how instruments for mitigation, compensation and investments can be used in the areas most affected by airports.

The project will also analyze the role of Air Traffic Management and its impact on areas close to airports. It will focus on the value of safeguarding optimal land-use, flexibility and investments in restricted areas. The objective of QLAIR is to create competitive airport regions in which economic development, airport capacity and the improvement of the quality of life are equally balanced.
