Airport Regions Council, together with Polis Network, Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions, Cluj City, Airport and University, have organised a webinar on the topic of decarbonisation of smart cities and regions, under the framework of the European Green Deal.
Airport and port cities and regions have a significant role in the transition to smart and sustainable mobility. This webinar seeks to bring together these key players to support the achievement of the EU decarbonisation goals and to identify relevant challenges. On the heels of the publishing of the European Green Deal Call, it is important to look at innovative solutions and transferable best practice in order to reduce transport emissions and improve resilience to climate change. Several challenges will be addressed in this webinar, such as low carbon mobility integration of transport systems between cities, ports and airports, as well as GHG neutral aviation, shipping and wider multimodal mobility.
