As we collectively acknowledge the necessity of transitioning to greener aviation, a critical question arises: how will this transition be financed? This webinar, organized by ARC and ENVISA, explored the financial strategies and mechanisms essential for achieving sustainable airports.
On September 25th, 2024, from 15:00 to 16:15 (Brussels time) we delved into the various facets of funding the green transition. We discussed the potential roles of passenger fees, airlines, and state support in this pivotal shift. How much can passenger fees realistically contribute to the cause? What responsibilities and opportunities do airlines have in financing sustainable practices? Can state support be leveraged effectively, and if so, what are the timelines and mechanisms, and who stands to benefit?
This session featured insights from industry experts and stakeholders who shared their perspectives on the financial challenges and opportunities in making aviation more sustainable. This webinar provided valuable knowledge and fostered meaningful discussions on paving the way for green airports. It was an opportunity to engage with thought leaders and learn about the future of financing sustainable aviation.
